Viviane Kunisawa, Dr. is a partner at DANIEL and leads Patent Litigation and Regulatory Law for Life Sciences & Agribusiness Groups. With over two decades of experience, Ms. Kunisawa is recognized for her work in high risk patent litigation involving complex, multijurisdictional disputes. She has served as chief strategist in major cases in Brazil, advising on patent infringement, invalidity, and unfair competition while applying strong regulatory knowledge to support client goals. Her practice includes pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, biotechnology, engineering, and telecommunications. Ms. Kunisawa also has extensive experience in advocacy initiatives, including drafting bills, regulatory standards, legal opinions, and white papers. Her earlier role as in house counsel for a multinational agribusiness company broadened her business insight. She earned her Law Degree from UERJ and a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Munich, conducting research at the Max Planck Institute and later serving as a guest researcher at Chizaiken in Tokyo.
