Eiichiro Yagi is senior general manager of IP Technology Center 1 within Canon’s Intellectual Property and Legal Headquarters, where he leads patent strategy across the company’s Imaging, Industrial and Medical businesses. Since joining Canon in 1998, he has built his career primarily in patent prosecution and related intellectual property activities. He has extensive experience in intellectual property management, patent portfolio development and IP risk management across a broad range of technology fields. In addition, Mr Yagi leads AI adoption initiatives within Canon’s Intellectual Property and Legal Headquarters, driving the transformation of intellectual property operations through artificial intelligence and digital technologies to enhance productivity and business competitiveness.
