Ayumi Nishino is Vice President, Managing Director and General IP Counsel at NEC Corporation. Ms. Nishino is currently the head of the IP Division and is responsible for NEC's global intellectual property function, including IP strategy, IP portfolio management, licensing, and legal issues in the field of intellectual property. Prior to her current position, she served in a number of intellectual property leadership roles within the IP Division at NEC. Before joining NEC, Ms. Nishino practiced at a Japanese patent prosecution firm, and then the Tokyo office of a US-based international law firm, where she focused on intellectual property litigation and related disputes. Admitted to practice in New York, Ms. Nishino has experience spanning both private practice and in-house leadership, in intellectual property prosecution, management, licensing, litigation, commercialization, and corporate strategy.
