Harold Barrault is an international business leader driving revenue growth through intellectual property licensing, innovation transfer, and strategic partnerships in the telecom, software, and start-up sectors. Since 2017, he has served as Vice President, Head of Intellectual Property Licensing at Orange Group, within Orange Research. Under his leadership, the business unit has undergone a major transformation, achieving high growth in licensing revenues and significantly improving EBITDA.
With over 25 years of global experience across Europe, North America, Africa, and Asia—including expatriate assignments in Silicon Valley, Madagascar, and Poland—Harold combines deep business acumen with technological insight. His career spans both corporate and entrepreneurial ventures, from start-ups to multinational groups, covering roles in management, business development and innovation.
Before his current role, he led innovation transfer programs across Orange affiliates in Spain, the UK, and Romania, accelerating deployment of SaaS and digital services. Earlier, he co-founded a successful tech start-up serving global companies.
Harold holds a degree in Business Information Technology (Bac+4) and completed executive programs at EM Lyon and Cranfield University.
