Laurie Fitzgerald is president of Avanci Vehicle, a leading, independent global provider of patent licensing platforms. She is responsible for all aspects of the Avanci Vehicle business and is passionate about finding solutions that can be widely accepted across industries. Ms Fitzgerald has driven the expansion of the Avanci 4G Vehicle and 5G Vehicle programmes to include more than 125 automotive brands and over 225 million connected vehicles around the world covered by an Avanci Vehicle licence. The programmes include dozens of participating licensors, collectively responsible for the vast majority of 4G and 5G cellular essential patents. A patent licensing professional and IP attorney, Ms Fitzgerald has almost two decades of experience working with innovators worldwide. Her experience spans licensing transactions, patent acquisitions and divestitures, and portfolio strategy and valuation. A regular conference speaker and podcast guest, Ms Fitzgerald has been listed among Managing IP’s Most Influential People in IP, in the IAM Strategy 300 list of leading IP professionals, and World IP Review’s Most Influential Women in IP.
