Dr. Walter Schlapkohl, Ph.D. is a shareholder at Greenblum & Bernstein (G&B) and has extensive experience advising clients in all phases of patent prosecution and providing opinions with regard to freedom-to-operate, infringement, and validity. Walter supervises patent prosecution at G&B in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and chemical areas. Additionally, Walter possesses professional experience with multi-national biotech/chemical patent application portfolios, stem cell technologies and applications, as well as medical diagnostic and treatment applications. Before working at G&B, Walter worked as a U.S. patent examiner where he examined applications in the area of gene expression, biomarkers, and cancer diagnostics.
