Patricio Delgado is vice president, IPR policy and commercial compliance at Ericsson. He is responsible for Ericsson’s IPR policy, policy research, pricing, and FRAND compliance functions. Before taking on these responsibilities, Patricio headed Ericsson’s 5G programme within IPR and licensing, guiding all aspects of Ericsson’s IPR approach to 5G. Before that, he headed Ericsson’s emerging market licensing programme, and worked as senior counsel on various activities around the world related to Ericsson’s 2G, 3G, and 4G patent portfolios. Before joining Ericsson, Patricio practiced patent law at a large international law firm, representing telecom companies in patent litigations in the United States. He received his law degree with honors from Harvard Law School and his undergraduate degree in engineering with distinction from Stanford University.
