Hyonjong Kim is a manager in the intellectual property rights (IPR) team at SK Telecom, with over a decade of experience in IP prosecution and litigation. Since joining SK Telecom in 2015, he has focused extensively on SEPs and AI, leading numerous patent prosecutions to strengthen the company’s IP portfolio in these technical areas. His work involves developing IP strategies that support SEP-based licensing opportunities and executing IP monetisation based on these strategies. Recently, he has been leading IP monetisation initiatives involving Wi-Fi SEPs, one of SK Telecom’s most successful IP monetization projects. Mr Kim is a licensed Korean patent attorney and a member of the Korean Patent Attorneys Association (KPAA). Before joining SK Telecom, he began his career at Yoon & Yang IP LLC in 2010, where he gained extensive experience in patent prosecution and litigation.
