Ian DiBernardo is chair of Brown Rudnick’s IP litigation practice group and co practice group leader of the US technology group. His leadership reflects decades of experience counseling clients across the lifecycle of IP, from creating worldwide patent portfolios to commercialisation, licensing, and bet the company litigation. Mr DiBernardo counsels IP owners on creating and monetising IP assets and investors on sourcing, evaluating, and executing IP centric investments. He has litigated various types of disputes, including patent, trade secret, trademark, unfair competition, and breach of contract. Mr DiBernardo has been lead counsel in numerous post grant proceedings before the PTAB and has successfully defended patent owners against inter partes review petitions filed by Samsung, Google, Microsoft, and Facebook. He is repeatedly recognised by Chambers USA, The Legal 500, IAM, Managing IP, and Lawdragon.
