Jon Putnam is the founder of Competition Dynamics, a consulting firm focused on economic research and expert testimony at the intersection of IP, competition and international trade law. He has been retained in more than 300 consulting engagements and has testified over 100 times in patent, antitrust, copyright, trade secret, contract and tax matters before US courts, the International Trade Commission, the Federal Trade Commission and international tribunals. His experience includes high stakes disputes such as Medtronic v IRS, Apple v Qualcomm, Ericsson v Apple, and InterDigital v Samsung. Before founding Competition Dynamics, Dr Putnam held academic appointments at the University of Toronto, Boston University, Columbia University, Vassar College, and Yale University. He holds BA, MA, and PhD degrees in economics from Yale University.
