Mike Mancuso is head of IP in San Diego and a senior patent counsel at ASML, where he leads intellectual property strategy for one of the company’s most critical technology domains. An experienced patent attorney and engineer, Mr Mancuso brings a unique combination of deep technical expertise and legal acumen to support complex innovation and high value business priorities. Before joining ASML, Mr Mancuso served as a patent attorney at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and was a partner in private practice, following a long tenure as managing and senior in house patent counsel at the Acushnet Company. His career spans both industry and private practice, with extensive experience in patent strategy, prosecution, and IP portfolio development across advanced technologies. Mr Mancuso began his career as a mechanical engineer working in aerospace and telecommunications which provided him with a strong engineering foundation that continues to shape his practical and business oriented approach to IP. He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego and a bachelor of science in engineering from UCLA.
